The Dizzy Donkey is a bar literally born out of love. A Love for Hospitality, Spain and each other.
The turmoil of the past few years taught us many things, but most importantly for us, that life is too short, follow your hearts and dreams and do it together!
We have an insatiable appetite for looking after our customers and delivering the best genuine experiences that we possibly can!
With over 30 year’s experience in the UK hospitality industry and working for many well-known companies, we’ve created a bar based on our experiences of what customers truly want & deserve!

However, at the Dizzy Donkey we encourage you to come inside & explore our Gin shelves. Open the bottles and smell the botanical ingredients. It’s a forever growing collection of familiar and unusual Gins from around the world.

We’re probably most famous for our cocktails. The classics are all big, bold and honest! Our signature cocktails are forever changing with the seasons, refined and thought provoking. They’re all made with a passion for flavour, visual gratification, fresh ingredients and that true Mediterranean cocktail bar experience!
Food Inspired by ‘Mama’!
Our food menu incorporates many of the Spanish Tapas classics. Everyday Alicia freshly prepares dishes inspired by her mother’s traditional recipes and teaching. The Dizzy Donkey and Alicia are now famous for their Traditional Spanish Tortilla and Albondigas (meatballs). Alicia can often be found giving her own Tortilla tutorials to customers in our kitchen. We also offer more modern British / American Tapas, a great range of salads, healthy honest burgers and our famous range of chicken wings & toppings.

First and foremost, it’s us! We are obsessed with our customers’ overall experience, it’s just the way we are! Alicia hosts the terrace everyday as if it’s a gathering of family and friends. She appears to remember every face & story and we both have a genuine love for everyone we meet.
Adam loves nothing more than taking guests to our ‘interactive’ Gin shelves, to talk about, smell and even taste our ever-growing selection.
With every drink we offer a free tapa, such as Tortilla, watermelon, olives, meats and cheeses.
The bar is available for Private Hire Parties, such as our renowned cocktail Masterclasses, where you come behind the bar and learn how to create our famous cocktails.

In general, the weather in Benalmadena is warm and sunny, with temperatures typically ranging from the low 60s Fahrenheit (around 15-18 Celsius) in January and February to the mid-80s Fahrenheit (around 30 Celsius) in August. The area also experiences relatively low rainfall, with the majority of precipitation occurring in the autumn/fall and winter months.
Here is a chart of average temperatures across the year, however in reality it is much much warmer!
